Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of SlothTube, a Chrome extension and website operated by İbrahim Çakır, an individual based in Türkiye ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using SlothTube you agree to them. Contact: support@slothtube.net.

The service

SlothTube adds a side panel to YouTube that can generate a video's transcript and an AI summary, analyze several videos from one channel, translate text, and answer questions about a video in a chat. SlothTube is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.

Your account

You need an account to use the service. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be at least 16 years old.

Plans and credits

• Free: 15 credits, given once when you create your account.
• Plus: 1,200 credits per month.
• Pro: unlimited credits, subject to reasonable fair-use limits that protect the service from abuse.

Most features use credits, for example one credit per summary, one per video analyzed, and one per AI Chat session. The current prices, credit costs and plan limits are shown on the pricing page and may change with notice. Unused credits do not carry over and have no cash value.

Payments and subscriptions

Paid plans are sold by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, taxes and invoices, and its Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the Manage Subscription option in the extension; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Acceptable use

• Do not scrape, overload, reverse engineer or try to bypass credits, limits or security of the service.
• Do not try to make the AI ignore its instructions or misuse it for unrelated tasks.
• Do not resell or share your account.
• You are responsible for using YouTube content in line with YouTube's terms and applicable copyright law.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

AI output

Summaries, analyses, translations and chat answers are generated by AI from a video's transcript and can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important against the original video. They are provided for your personal use.

Availability and changes

We work to keep SlothTube running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features depend on third parties (such as YouTube, our transcript provider and AI providers) and may change or stop working. We may update these terms; continued use after the update means you accept them.

Liability

SlothTube is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

Termination

You may stop using SlothTube and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend the service or your access if you break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
